MG B GT
This MGB was stripped back to the bare shell, the faded old paintwork sanded and skim filled where necessary, before application of two coats of specially-mixed 'baby powder blue' paint. As is obvious from the picture gallery below, this particular shade of blue is very difficult to photograph accurately. One thing is for certain, it is a real eye-catcher!
Both front and rear axles were completely overhauled and hung with new brakes all round. The engine, a healthy worked-over 1950cc unit, features a Peter Burgess 'fast road' cylinder head, fed by a Weber 45, exhaling through a stainless steel exhaust manifold clad in 'heat wrap'. Rolling stock now comprises a set of silver 14" Compomotive Minilites with polished rims, shod with Yokohama 'A Drive' tyres. The passenger cabin has been newly appointed with custom-stitched leather upholstery, complemented by the refinished 'wrinkle finish' dashboard plus a wooden shifter knob and steering wheel rim. This charming car is handsome once more, and swift to boot.
